'Pressure continues high from Southern Russia to Greenland and relatively low to the south of the British isles. Weather will be mainly fair, apart from a few widely scattered snow showers in the south, but there will be some fine intervals locally, more especially in sheltered areas in the west and north. It will continue very cold with frost day and night in most areas' At 0600 hours-Easterly airstream continues to cover the British Isles with winds to F5 on the east coast. Largely cloudy over southern and western districts but clearer skies over NE England and eastern Scotland. Mainly clear skies over near Continent although N.France has more cloud. Light snow reported from Collinstown (nr Dublin) and Benbecula (w.Scotland) otherwise dry. Lowest temperatures are once again in the area of clear skies to the east with Skagen (n.Denmark) reporting 5°F (-15.0°C). Over the British Isles the lowest temperature is 21°F (-6.1°C) at Mildenhall and the highest 35°F(1.7°C) at Cape Wrath. Overnight minima-lowest is10°F (-12.2°C) at Dalwhinnie (which does not report at 0600)and the highest 33°F (0.6°C) at Aberdeen and Malin Head. Previous day's maxima-lowest is 24°F(-4.4°C) at Little Rissington and the highest 38°F(3.3°C) at Tiree.

In the south-east England and the Midlands a number of stations report a diurnal change of temperature of only 1°F. At South Farnborough the maximum temperature for the previous day (09-21hrs) was 27°F and the minimum temperature overnight (21-09hrs) was also 27°F.

Precipitation-no more than 'trace' in most areas. Wettest is Benbecula which reports 1.6mm

Snow cover/depth-no change on previous days. In a bit more detail, the following places report 'complete snow cover'-Croydon, S.Farnborough, Boscombe Down, Felixstowe, Gorleston, Mildenhall, W.Raynham (>6"), Waddington (13"), Cranfield, Honiley, Little Rissington (6"), Bristol, Fairwood Common (nr Swansea), Hawarden (Chester), Finningley (9"),Spurn Head (>6"), Leeming, Acklington, Leuchars, Benbecula, Eskdalemuir,Dalwhinnie, Aberdeen, Rattray and Lerwick Outlook-Continuing fair and very cold
